When I first started lifting weights with Sam a couple of years ago, I struggled to deadlift 40kg; and squats and lunges with my own body weight were challenging. Now, I can deadlift 80kg which is way over my own bodyweight, full squat 30kg for 10 reps and perform full press-ups on the floor for 10 reps! As a result, I’ve dropped several dress sizes and gained massive confidence in training with weights on my own. I still do small group sessions with Sam three times a week and very rarely miss a session as lifting has become such a vital part of my life.
